Spend your days adventuring under the southern Spanish sun on an active four-day experience with 3 nights in charming accommodation. Explore the beautiful landscape on foot, follow mountain trails with views of the Mediterranean, and take in the region’s spectacular nature. Get a taste of local life with a visit to an olive oil producer, and enjoy authentic meals in small mountain villages. With a small, intimate group (max. 10 participants), you’ll have a personal experience filled with hiking, nature, and culinary highlights. Option to upgrade to a private room and add a relaxing massage for extra comfort.

Hiking & Experiences: 4 Days Surrounded by Nature

Experience the Andalusian nature up close with this active 4-day/3-night retreat filled with hiking, local culture, and authentic culinary experiences. We’ll stay at a charming finca in the heart of the beautiful mountains between Monda and Guaro – the perfect base for unforgettable adventures.

🌄 Friday – Welcome & Relaxation
We welcome you to southern Spain with a glass of wine and a lovely dinner at the finca. Here, we’ll settle in and get to know each other while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, preparing for the weekend’s adventures.

🫒 Saturday – Mountain Peaks & Local Flavors
The day begins with breakfast at the finca, followed by a visit to a local olive oil factory, where we’ll see (and taste!) how the golden oil is made. Afterward, we’ll lace up our hiking boots and embark on a 3-hour hike through the beautiful mountains. We’ll summit two mountain peaks, rewarded with stunning views of the Mediterranean – on clear days, you can even spot both Gibraltar and the coast of Africa. Along the way, we’ll enjoy a picnic with local specialties. In the evening, we head to the cozy village of Ojén for dinner at an authentic, local restaurant.

🏞️ Sunday – Long Hike & Tapas Adventure
After breakfast at the finca, the group sets off on a scenic and challenging hike to the charming mountain village of Istán. Equipped with maps and a GPS route, the walk takes you through varied terrain with green valleys, forest areas, and peaceful landscapes (approx. 19 km / 6 hours). We’ll meet you in Istán for a well-deserved light tapas lunch in cozy surroundings. Afterwards, we head to Marbella to stroll through the old town and visit selected tapas spots to sample the local cuisine. The evening ends with group transport back to the finca.

🚶‍♂️ Monday – Farewell & Final Hike
We start the day with one last breakfast at the finca and then take a pleasant walk from Guaro to Monda (about 1 hour) – a relaxing walk through the beautiful landscape. The retreat wraps up with lunch in Monda before you say goodbye to the group and continue your journey, full of memories and new experiences.

Where you’ll stay

During the retreat, you will stay at a charming, 100-year-old finca, idyllically located in the countryside between the small villages of Monda and Guaro, surrounded by mountains and nature – just a half-hour drive north of Marbella. The finca has a warm and authentic atmosphere, with 5 double rooms and 2½ bathrooms. Some rooms have double beds, while others have single beds, and all rooms are shared with another participant. If there is high demand for single rooms, we will arrange cozy accommodation in nearby apartments in Monda or Guaro, and we will, of course, provide transportation to and from the retreat every day. Here, you will stay simply, safely, and close to nature – perfect for relaxing and recharging.

We are Charlotte and Henriette – two friends who have known each other since childhood in the middle of Denmark, where we cycled to school together and have been close friends ever since. We share a passion for nature and love hiking and exploring new cultures. Over the years, we have had the privilege of living in many different places around the world – from Switzerland and Thailand to Vietnam, Hong Kong, Canada, and Spain. Along the way, we have hiked in some of the most beautiful landscapes, which has given us deep insights and an even greater understanding of the cultures we’ve been a part of. We look forward to sharing these experiences and adventures with you.

Your Questions, Our Answers

You will need to book your own flight to Málaga Airport. The package includes transfer to and from the airport, so you will be picked up and dropped off without any hassle. If you wish to spend a few extra days in Málaga or another location on the Costa del Sol before or after the retreat, we would be happy to arrange pickup from another location in the area.
The package includes a 3-night stay with delicious full board, round-trip airport transport to and from Málaga, and guided hiking tours.
Flight tickets and travel insurance are not included.
The house has 5 rooms – some with double beds, others with single beds – and there are 2 ½ shared bathrooms. If you prefer your own room with a private bathroom, this is possible for an additional fee of €299. You will be accommodated in a nearby apartment with a private bathroom and transported to and from the retreat every day.
